Message from Organizer:

Japan-China-Korea International Symposium on Intellectual Property is an event hosted mainly by three academic associations, the Intellectual Property Association of Japan (IPAJ), the China Intellectual Property Society (CIPS) and the Korean Intellectual Property Society (KIPS), who have between them entered an academic cooperation agreement. The symposium, being hosted by each country in turn, has been held annually since 2012, and serves as a venue in which people involved with IP related academic societies and government bodies can engage in discussions and exchange opinions on IP related themes.

This year, the event will be hosted in Japan with the theme “East Asian IP systems and strategies delivered for worldwide users”, and other organizations such as the Japan Patent Office (JPO) have joined as host organizations. As well as speeches on recent approaches taken by the patent offices of Japan, China and Korea, there will be panel discussions focusing on IP judicial system, trademarks and trade secrets.
