Program guidelines

Instructions for poster presentations

  • Posters should be prepared in A0 format (vertical display). The poster board for each presentation will be in the size of 0.9 m width and 2 m height.
  • Each poster board is marked with the session and paper number on the upper right corner.
  • Posters will be on display only for the assigned session (poster session I / Monday OR poster session II / Tuesday).

Authors with poster presentations on Monday can mount their posters 4 pm on Sunday. Posters of session I should be removed (at latest) until the first coffee break of Tuesday.

Posters of session II can be mounted after lunch on Tuesday, and can be displayed until 3 pm on Wednesday.

  • Push pins will be provided.
  • Each poster paper should have a heading (letters at least 2 cm) high in bold face. Text, figures and tables can be read by attendees from a distance of 1-2 m. The structure of the poster presentation should be in a logical sequence (introduction, development, and conclusion). Simplicity, easy appraisal of the content, etc. are more important than artistic flair.
  • Authors may bring extra copies for hand-outs of the poster paper to interested participants.
  • Authors can submit their posters to Prof. Takayuki SASAKI as pdf-file until September 6th (e-mail: sasaki.takayuki.2a@kyoto-u.ac.jp). A USB stick with copies of all submitted posters will be distributed to all participants during registration.
