Wonderful Tourism Opportunities
Pokémon Center Yokohama (30 min. away)
Pokémon Center Yokohama is only 5 minutes from the East Entrance of Yokohama Station. It is a specialist store for Pokémon goods and merchandise. There is a game space where you can check out special Pokémon arcade releases.
Kamakura (30 min. away)
A half-hour train journey will take you to the ancient Japanese capital of Kamakura. It played an important role in Japanese history as the place where the first shogunate government was established in 1192. Founded by the first shogunate, the historical Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine became Japan’s center of politics and culture in the 12th century. The Great Buddha is a bronze image depicting Buddha in a seated meditative pose. Its imposing stature of 11.4 meters (37.4 feet) in height and its unique expression made it world famous, and it is now a popular tourist spot.
Mt. Fuji and Hakone (90 min. away)
90 minutes away lies one of the most famous tourist resorts in Japan. Surrounded by scenic mountains, Hakone offers the unique scenery of placid Lake Ashi (Ashi-no-ko) at the bottom of Mt. Fuji. It also boasts an abundance of hot-springs scattered along its streams and rivers. Hakone is a lovely national park where places of historic interest and modern tourist facilities blend in with nature. The district holds cultural properties suggestive of its long history, and also has many museums and amusement facilities.
