Welcome to ISNAC 2026 in Okinawa
As Chair of the 53rd International Symposium on Nucleic Acids Chemistry (ISNAC 2026), it is my great pleasure to invite you to Okinawa, Japan, from November 18 to 20, 2026. ISNAC is one of the oldest and largest international meetings dedicated to nucleic acids chemistry. For over 50 years, it has continually evolved to embrace a broad spectrum of research areas and technologies, including organic chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, synthetic biology, nanotechnology, and nucleic acid therapeutics. This diversity brings together researchers and students from many disciplines, creating a vibrant environment for exchanging ideas and fostering new collaborations.
This year marks the first time in the long history of the symposium series that ISNAC will be held in Okinawa, a region renowned for its rich and unique cultural heritage and history within Japan. The symposium will take place at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), located in the central part of Okinawa Island with stunning views of the East China Sea.
We look forward to an exciting program filled with stimulating presentations and discussions spanning the full breadth of nucleic acids chemistry. We hope you will join us and enjoy both the scientific program, and the unique cultural experiences Okinawa has to offer.
